Spring 2008
Greetings from the Farm,
We are pleased to announce some changes to how we produce the
Sleighbells newsletter. In an attempt to be a little more green, we are
now longer going print and mail it out as we have done in the past.
Instead it will be emailed to folks like you, who have given us their
email address. We will also post it on our website, and print a few
copies for people to pick up while they are in the store. We hope this
new distribution will reduce waste and still keep you in the loop about
all of the wonderful happenings at your favorite year 'round holiday
shop.
Thanks for all of your support.
The Gang at Sleighbells.
The new villages are in! Nearly all of the spring introductions of the
Department 56 Villages are here, the earliest we've ever had them. The
only pieces not yet in are in the Halloween series. There are some
really wonderful new designs like the Castle Wolfstein in Alpine, or
the Wilkenson and Kidd Saddlery in Dickens this year. For the wine
lovers out there, check out the Chateau Valley Winery in Snow Village;
it's a very distinctive Tuscan Villa. If you're into Halloween
Villages, keep your eyes pealed for all of the fabulous 10th
Anniversary pieces that are being released this year. The Rickety
Railroad Station is going to be the hit of the year! Buy the station
and the train engine this year, and for the next 3 years D56 is going
to release a new car to complete the train. Rob was fortunate enough to
visit the D56 design group last year and got to see how "Monsters of
the Deep" was being redesigned. Ask him about it during your next
visit. It's very spooky and will be a hit with everyone.
Beanpod Candles are here! They are the #1 Soy candle in the country,

a new hanging ornament display to improve our organization.
